traveling...

3 days, 3 days and I am on the plane to Santa Monica, I CAN'T WAIT.

I began packing this morning and it is going super easy. As the weather will be warm and I have no plans except for walking on the beach, laying by the pool, reading a few books, and possibly going for a hike or two, I don't need to pack much. Plus, this is my first time, in a long time (too long) that I am packing just for myself. Usually I am a bit overwhelmed packing for Lola and Hudson as well. So far in my bag is my favorite jean shorts, my nikes, a pair of black sandals, a few tank tops, moisturizer with SPF, and my new J.Crew swimsuit.

My flight leaves at 6am, but between waiting around at the airports, the flight, and waiting for the car I know I will need something to eat. And I really do not like airplane food. Why is there so much salt in airplane food? That's the last night you need. Do you pack your own snacks for the airplane? I would love some new ideas. I like to bring a couple packets of tea, some almonds, a Luna Bar and a big bag of grapes. If I have time, I will make this Super Power Chia Bread. I love the idea of packing along packets of almond/peanut butter and hummus to go along with it. Speaking of peanut butter, can you bring it on the plane? Is there a ban against nuts?

I am almost ready, a few more things to pack, grocery shopping for the kids, and then downloading some new books and movies. What books are you reading right now? I would love some summer options. Right now I have downloaded, The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight, Tell the Wolves I'm Home, The Fault In Our Stars and Where'd You Go Bernadette.

What else am I missing?
