Sweet Cherry Hand Pies

My Dad was born in the small town of Butte, Montana. And every year or so we would go back to visit family and celebrate the 4th of July. Staying up late, running around barefoot, eating one too many hot dogs and watching the best fireworks show I have ever seen. I love this holiday. I love the memories that I have of this holiday, as a child, as a teenager and now as a parent. Happy 4th of July! Have fun, be safe. 

How cute are these little star hand pies! Basically the perfect dessert for this holiday weekend. Served with vanilla ice cream of course!
