Pear Shrub with 3 Fall Cocktails, for Verily Magazine

Pear Shrub with 3 Fall Cocktails

Happy Friday! Making it quick this morning as I have lots of fun fall baking to do in the kitchen this morning. But before I go, I want to share this recipe for Pear Shrub and 3 fall cocktails up on Verily Magazine today. Shrubs (also known as drinking vinegars) are easy and fun to make. Simple to adjust per season, and help create a fantastic cocktail. Remember this Beet Balsamic Shrub Cocktail? It is one of my favorites. But with the overload of fresh pears at the market, and fall time making a huge presence in the Pacific Northwest, I knew pears were the perfect choice for my next drinking vinegar. They are sweet, they are tart, and combined with sugar and vinegar, this shrub is absolutely delicious. Making a Pear Shrub with Thyme + Prosecco, Pear Shrub with Rum + Ginger, or a simple Pear Shrub Soda. Or simply served with whiskey, freshly squeezed lemon juice and ice. You can find the full recipe here. Cheers, and happy weekend! xoxo
